Using Fan Chart Studio
You may use Fan Chart Studio to design and print charts of your own family history, including for gifts and for personal, educational, and non-commercial display. The free version may be used by anyone at no cost.
You are responsible for the family information you enter and for respecting the privacy of living relatives when you share charts publicly.
Your charts
You own the charts you create. You may print, frame, share and give them away. Free charts include a small “Made with FanChartStudio.com” line; Pro charts do not.
If you are a professional genealogist or designer making charts for paying clients, a single Pro license covers you. Please don't resell or redistribute the software itself.
Pro license
- Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks the Pro features in the browser where you enter your license key.
- One license may be activated on up to 6 of your own devices or browsers. Contact us if you need a reset.
- Pro includes future chart styles and improvements released for Fan Chart Studio.
- License keys are personal. Please don't share them publicly.
30-day money-back guarantee
If Fan Chart Studio Pro doesn't work for you for any reason, email within 30 days of purchase with your order email and you'll get a full refund. No forms, no hoops. Refunds are processed through the original payment provider and usually appear within 5–10 business days. Refunded license keys stop working.
Printed products
- Made to order. Each print is produced just for you by our print partner, exactly as shown in your preview. Please check names and dates before ordering.
- Damaged, defective or wrong? If your print arrives damaged, has a printing defect, or doesn't match what you ordered, email us within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we'll reprint it free or refund you in full.
- Change of mind. Because every print is personalized, we can't accept returns for a change of mind or for typos in the chart you approved. Email us right away if you spot a mistake: if production hasn't started, we'll cancel and refund.
- Shipping. Printing usually takes about 3 business days, plus 5–10 business days for delivery. These are estimates, not guarantees.
- Prices include shipping to the countries offered at checkout. Any sales tax is shown at checkout.
No warranty
We work hard to make charts accurate and beautiful, but the Fan Chart Studio software is provided “as is”. Please proofread names and dates before printing. We can't reimburse the cost of prints you make elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product grows. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new date.
